The MiBoFlo Thermoflo®
MiboFlo Thermoflo is a new therapeutic device for the treatment of dry eye. It employs a proprietary thermoelectric heat pump designed to liquify inspissated secretions and improve meibomian glandular function. MiBo ameliorates the evaporative component of dry eye.
The MiBo delivers an effective temperature of 108 degrees within a variance of less than 3%. The unit has an adjustable timer allowing for physician-controlled customization of therapy.
The MiBoFlo device is constructed from quality components and is manufactured entirely in the United States. Every unit is meticulously inspected and tested before shipping. The touch screen is user friendly, highly functional and easy to read. The safety key acts both as a power switch and a security device. A green LED in the handle indicates power being delivered and consistent heat is being delivered to the hand piece. A 2 year warranty with overnight replacement, free software upgrades, gives the practitioner peace of mind. Additional detachable applicators are available for a modest cost.

How BlephEx® Works
BlephexBlephEx® is a painless in-office procedure performed by your eyecare professional. A revolutionary new patented BlephEx® handpiece is used to very precisely and carefully, spin a medical grade micro-sponge along the edge of your eyelids and lashes, removing scurf and debris and exfoliating your eyelids. The patented micro-sponge is disposable and a clean one is used for each individual eyelid so bacteria is not spread between the lids. The eyes are rinsed well afterwards. The procedure lasts about 6 -8 minutes and is well tolerated. Most patients simply report a tickling sensation. A numbing drop is usually placed in each eye prior to treatment for increased comfort. After the procedure, the patient is instructed on how to maintain their clean eyelids with regular nightly lid hygiene. Since home treatments are only semi-effective, the procedure is typically repeated at 4-6 month intervals.
